Who is the Master of Science in Rehabilitation & Disability Studies for?The MSc Rehabilitation & Disability Studies is open to those who wish to pursue further study in the area of professional service provision to a range of client groups. It adopts a broad definition of disability and so will be of interest to individuals working in physical/sensory disability, intellectual disability, mental health and related sectors. What will I learn?You will develop an understanding of disability and rehabilitation theory, research and practice. How will I benefit?You will develop your understanding of the international and national context of disability studies. You will be exposed to current best practice in the disability sector. You will acquire conceptual and practical skills, which will inform your own professional practice. What is the programme about?Central to this programme is the emerging field of disability studies - the interdisciplinary and scholarly exploration of all aspects of disability. Disability Studies comprises three core themes: the history of disability; experiences of disability; and an array of policy, social, rehabilitative and other interventions |
