Welcome to the Transferable Skills Training Portal for Post Graduate Students

The following workshops align to the IUA PhD Graduates' Skill Statement and are open to all Graduate Research Students.

The 2012/13 Transferable Skills offering is now available below. Further details on each course including the full workshop descriptor and any suggested pre-requisites are available by clicking on the links below.

**Important Registration Information**

 

Research students in the first year of their programme:


1. Please log into UCD Connect at www.ucd.ie

2. Your username is your UCD student number and your password (unless you have already changed it) is your date of birth in the format ddmmyy.

3. Click on the Student Life tab and then the link to the Student Information System (SIS). 

3. In SIS please click 'ENTER REGISTRATION PROCESS'. You can then go online and register to workshops. Further information about registering online is available in this document:  

 

Research students in their second and subsequent years:


1. Please indicate which workshops you wish to attend using the online form. Please note that space on each workshop is limited. It is therefore advisable that you complete and submit the online form promptly.

2. You will receive an email confirmation within one week advising you of the workshops you have been registered to. Registration via SIS is currently limited to research students in the first year of their programme. 

 

 

Please note that from 2012/13, any transferable skills activity that you complete will be included on your student record and transcript. For accurate recording of workshop activity, students who cannot attend selected workshops must notify Graduate Studies immediately by emailing transferableskills@ucd.ie.
