The Healthy UCD Woodland lunchtime walks are back! There will be 4 lunchtime weekly walks as detailed below. Just pick your walk and turn up at the time and location indicated. The walks suit every fitness level, are a great way to get some physical activity into your day and the chance to meet colleagues across UCD.

  • Mondays 12.30pm- Front of Conway Institute- Denise McGrath (Leader)
  • Tuesdays 1.10pm-Front Gate, Stillorgan Road beside flag poles- Patricia Lysaght (Leader)
  • Tuesdays 1.10pm-Statue opposite UCD Main Restaurant- Jacinta Egan (Leader)
  • Thursdays 1.30pm- Front of the Research Building at the end of the ramp- Ann Mooney (Leader)

 In conjuntion with the Healthy UCD Step Challenge, a series of 40 minute lunchtime seminars will take place over the month of October There is an added bonus as if you are involved in the Step Challenge, any seminar you attended will add an additional 5000 steps to your day!

Seminar 1: Eat Smart: How to achieve work-diet balance in UCD - Prof Clare Corish- Tuesday 10th October at 1.10pm- Theatre 1 basement in the Newman Building.

Seminar 2: Work-related stressors, manifestations and solutions- Patricia Murray- Tuesday 17th October- 1.10pm- G15 Agriculture and Food Science Building.

Seminar 3: Turning good intentions into sustained action: The role of psychology in physical activity behaviour change- Dr. James Matthews- Wednesday 25th October at 1.10pm, Hub 1.49 UCD O' Brien Centre for Science.
