COST-ESF Funding Workshop for researchers in the Humanities and Social Sciences
A workshop on COST - Individuals, Societies, Cultures and Health has been organised by the UCD Humanities Institute of Ireland aimed at all UCD academic staff and post-doctoral fellows and graduate students in the humanities and social sciences to provide information on what funding is available through this programme and how to go about preparing a successful proposal.
The COST programme, based on an inter-governmental agreement, is a long-running, economical and highly successful way to spread awareness and build networks between Europe's researchers. It reflects the human dimension of science, helping researchers to share not only the results of their work but also their aims and methods.

Marie Curie - EU funding for individual researchers in the humanities
The Marie Curie Programme is a key European instrument that funds both excellent researchers and those with a clear potential for future achievement. The overall objective of the programme is to provide broad support for the career-development of researchers, with a view to the successful creation of the European Research Area.
The Marie Curie programme consists of a set of actions, largely based on the financing of structured mobility schemes for researchers, taking into account the international dimension of science. They are essentially geared towards the development and transfer of research competencies, the consolidation and widening of researchers´ career prospects and the promotion of excellence in European research.
A workshop has been organised by the UCD Humanities Institute of Ireland aimed at all UCD academic staff and post-doctoral fellows in the humanities to provide information on what funding is available through this programme and how to go about preparing a successful proposal.
