MA in Archives and Record Management

The MA in Archives and Records Management is the only professionally accredited course of its kind in Ireland. Its main objective is to provide a recognised qualification for those wishing to work as archivists in archives services and in organisations which require professional expertise in corporate record services. It can be taken on a full or part time basis.

If you already have a Diploma in Archival Studies, and wish to progress to an MA, please go to Progression to the MA.

There are two other qualifications offered (please click for information): the Certificate in Archives Management and the Certificate in Records Management.

You can download a complete  Prospectus for the MA in Archives and Record Management here.

This prospectus is divided into three parts:

1. Objectives, structure, syllabus

2. Entry requirements, procedures, fees, accommodation and participation

3. General information on the professional archivist and archives as a career

You should print out the Step 2 Form  from here, and follow application instructions on the PDF.
