Biography:
| My main research interest lies in Irish social and cultural history in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, particularly the history of sport. I am currently a director of the GAA Oral History Project and have written extensively about the history of the GAA. I am also a former reporter with Prime Time Investigates in RTÉ. One of the documentaries I have made is Lost Generation, which told the plight of elderly Irish citizens who live in Britain. I also worked on the Leas Cross nursing home programme and on documentaries for TG4, including as producer-director for one on the Tailteann Games. Most recently, I worked as a historical consultant on the TV3 series on life in the Dublin tenements. |
