'It's got 0-0
written all over it'

On Saturday
18th November, history will take place on the hallowed turf of UCD's
fine sandbased pitch. New girl on the block, Edel Ward, will take on
the experienced Ro Hockey, in what promises to be the game of the season...
Early predictions indicate that a crowd of 10-15 people are expected
to attend (yes, this does include the 2 coaches, umpires and subs).
This years sixths
are a totally different team from last year... unbeated in all competitions...
the team oozes confidence... from Aoife 'I bake' at the back, to Blaithin
'I'm mad' up front... The team also fields many of McKays famous fifths
from last year, and they are showing him just what he's missing... Roisin
Duffy is scoring for fun, Julie Hanlon laughs at attackers, and Melanie
Boyle is the Roy Keane of Minor A. The coaching team is also quality...
with Patrick Jackman (Avoca 2nds) dispensing his knowledge to the eager
team, passing on all he learnt from the great Delaney as he kept him
company on the bench last year.
The sevenths
are more of a mystery... Edel definitely has the fittest teams in the
league, and also a strong defense... Watch out for key player Jenny...
and Fiona Browne (ex sixth), along with Heather McKay (cards) and Miriam
(canadian)...
The Sevenths
are not known for their goalscoring ability, and with Hockeys team allegedly
missing some key midfielders this game has 0-0 written all over it...
