Study & Exam Leave

Overview

Study and exam leave is available to professional, administrative, technical and support staff, who have completed one year’ continuous service with the university.

It applies to courses which are directly related to your work and your development as a staff member.

An eight week notice period to the Head of School/Unit will apply to your application.

Applying for leave

Step 1: Read the university Study & Exam Leave Policy

 

Step 2: Seek approval from the Head of School/Unit eight weeks before you wish to take study or exam leave.

Step 3: Complete and sign the Study & Examination Leave Application Form and have it countersigned by the Head of School/Unit before forwarding it to Compensation & Benefits, UCD HR, Roebuck Offices.

 

Note: If applying for exam leave a copy of the exam timetable must be attached to your application.

 

What happens next?
