Travel Pass

Overview

Please note that the Application date for the October 2012 Travel Pass Scheme is now closed.

 

Twice annually (April and October of each year), UCD staff are invited to avail of the Travel Pass Scheme. This tax effective scheme allows staff to purchase an annual bus, rail and Luas ticket through UCD and save up to 52% of their travel costs as a result of tax and PRSI benefits. How to apply for a Travel Pass

Step 1: To check you are eligible to participate and understand the scheme fully, please read the Travel Pass Scheme Policy.

 

Step 2: Complete a Travel Pass Scheme Application Form and a Travel Pass Scheme Authorisation Form and submit them to UCD HR. All applications for participation must be submitted to UCD Human Resources by Wednesday 12th September 2012.

 

Step 3: The University purchases the Travel Pass from the relevant transport provider on the employee's behalf, in exchange for the employee sacrificing or foregoing the commensurate value from their annual basic salary in lieu.

 

Step 4: An email will be sent to you in the last week of September advising you of the collection details of your Travel Pass ticket.

 

Travel Passes issued as part of this scheme will commence from 1st October and be valid for travel for a one year period. The monthly deductions will commence on your salary in October for a 12 month period.
