Humanities Institute Research Writing Group 2014-2015

Humanities Institute Research Writing Group 2014-2015

The UCD Humanities Institute is running an interdisciplinary Research Writing Group for the current academic year. The Group meets on a monthly basis for approximately 90 minutes to discuss a short piece of research writing (draft thesis chapter, conference paper, article, funding proposal) by a member. Group members read the sample in advance and discuss it in depth with the author during the sessions. This process helps the authors think through their own ideas and their own writing, as they receive constructive feedback and input from peers in a supportive and encouraging environment. The group is interdisciplinary and is open to PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.

Members of the HI Research Writing Group for the academic year 2014-2015 are: Jaclyn Allen, Brandi Byrd,  Jiangyuan Fu, Lauren Geppi, Clarissa Oliveira, Mengzhen Yue. Their research spans a wide a range of disciplines: English and German Literature, Classics, Sociolinguistics, and Law. Please click ‌ for their biographical notes and further information.

This Research Writing Group is currently full. If you are interested in joining a new Research Writing Group, please contact the Research Writing Group coordinator, Dr Giulia Bruna, via email (giulia.bruna@ucd.ie).
