This paper on race, gender and popular culture under Bush/Cheney imperialism rethinks the older gendered and raced logics of imperialism in line with contemporary neoliberalisms and what Professor Driscoll calls an 'indifferent' hegemonic masculinity. A version of this has appeared in the US cultural studies journal Cultural Studies. Professor Driscoll has published several other essays on postcolonial theory, race and US militarism.
