Graduate Workshop - Literatures of Trauma

Kali Tal, author of Worlds of Hurt: Reading the Literatures of Trauma will lead a graduate workshop on Wednesday 11th September 2pm - 4.30pm. The Humanities Institute will host this workshop, which will focus on interdisciplinary approaches to trauma theory, and on the pleasures and dangers of mixing literary criticism with history, psychology, psychoanalysis and sociology.

The event is part of the UCD/Boston College Ireland symposium 'Memory and Trauma: The Body in Pain in Irish Culture' (12-13 September). The event is funded by the Irish Research Council, UCD College of Arts and Celtic Studies, Boston College Ireland, and UCD Humanities Institute.
