Where to Find Us?

The UCD Humanities Institute is building number 30, grid reference F9, on the UCD Campus Map whch can be found at http://map.ucdestates.ie/. For details on how to find us using the UCD Interactive Map please click here.

NB: There are traffic-calming barriers in place in UCD from 7am – 10.30am and from 4pm – 7pm. These barriers restrict access around the campus. It is best to use either the Owenstown Entrance (Foster's Avenue) during these times.

The Main Entrance (Stillorgan Road)

Enter through the Main Gate and follow the road as it veers to the left.  Continue straight ahead past the Merville Students Residences on the left and the Suterland School of Law on the right through a T junction with a set of lights. This road runs pasta large car park on your left.  Turn left before the Ashfield Student Residences and you will see a block of buildings (the Geary Institute, the Hanna Sheehy-Skeffington building, and the Agnes McGuire Social Work building).  The Humanities Institute is located to the rear of this block.  Please follow the pedestrian pathway on the right hand side of this block of buildings. This path will lead you to the main entrance to the Institute.

The Owenstown Entrance (off Foster's Avenue)

Enter and follow the road down to the T Junction (opposite is site of the Suterland School of Law). Turn left and follow the road through the car park. Turn left before the Ashfield Student Residences and you will see a block of buildings (the Geary Institute, the Hanna Sheehy-Skeffington building, and the Agnes McGuire Social Work building). The Humanities Institute is located to the rear of this block.  Please follow the pedestrian pathway on the right hand side of this block of buildings.  This path will lead you to the main entrance to the Institute.

The Clonskeagh Entrance (Clonskeagh Road)

Enter and follow the road through the round about, past the new UCD Sports Centre on your left and veer right at the church.  Follow the road until you pass the Ashfield Student Residences on your left. After these buildings turn left the and you will see a block of buildings  (the Geary Institute, the Hanna Sheehy-Skeffington building, and the Agnes McGuire Social Work building).  The Humanities Institute is located to the rear of this block.  Please follow the pedestrian pathway on the right hand side of this block of buildings.  This path will lead you to the main entrance to the Institute.

Visitor Parking

Parking in all main car parsk on the UCD Campus is for permit-holding staff and students only. Our nearest visitor car park can be found at the T Junction of the main route through campus and the road leading to the Owenstown Gate, opposite the Merville Student Residences. Please always park here hen visiting campus. Parking is charged at €1 per hour capped at €3 per day.
