Dr Kate Antosik-Parsons

Kate Antosik-Parsons is an art historian and a visual artist whose research and artwork is concerned with gender, sexuality, embodiment and memory. She is currently researching the connections between performance art, maternity and women's reproductive rights in Ireland. She holds a BA in Art (St. Mary’s College, Moraga CA), an MA in Women’s Studies (University College Dublin) and a PhD in Art History (University College Dublin). Kate has published a number of essays on Irish performance and video artists including Amanda Coogan, Alanna O'Kelly, Áine Phillips, Willie Doherty and Jaki Irvine.
