Berkeley Tragedy

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is with great sadness that we convey the very sad news that one of our BA Stage 2 students, Niccolai Schuster, has lost his life in the tragedy that has been unfolding in Berkeley, California over recent days. In addition, two Stage 3 UCD Medicine students, Eimear Walsh and Lorcan Miller, are amongst those who have died. May they Rest in Peace.

Niccolai had been studying History and Politics with electives in Information Technology while both Eimear and Lorcan had been taking electives in Psychology.

Please join with us in supporting all those affected by the tragedy, both within the UCD community and among the family circles of those involved. A book of condolence has been opened on the UCD Website: UCD Book of Condolence

Yours sincerely,

Professor Muiris Ó Súilleabháin, Dean of Arts
