Research & Innovation
Research in the College of Human Sciences comprises:
1. the core disciplines of economics, psychology, geography, sociology, philosophy and politics and international relations
2. the issues that these disciplines tackle, ranging from international trade theory to hemispheric asymmetries in perceptual processing and from nationalism and ethnic conflict to problems relating to the nature of language, mind and action
3. the subject-area specializations that are rooted in the core disciplines, and include education, library and information studies, applied social policy, equality studies, and governance, public policy and planning
4. the research outcomes that mainly take the form of peer-reviewed publications but also include contributions to public debate and policy-making and to advanced professional training in a number of areas.
