ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (8.00 pm)
This AGM, the 38th of the ICCS, gives the membership a say in the running of our society,
and an opportunity to become involved in its committee through nomination and election.
All members should have received full details by post, and are urged to attend.
This year the meeting will be followed by a selection of interesting DVDs on China.

SUMMER OUTING
This year's outing is a visit to the Suzhou Garden, St. Anne’s Park, Clontarf, Dublin 3.
You may or may not be aware that St. Anne's Park is now the permanent home of the Irish Suzhou Garden,
which was donated to the Irish Nation by the Peoples Republic of China and opened by the Chinese Ambassador
in February 2012.
Thanks to the kind agreement of Dublin City Council, the Garden (normally accessible only on weekdays)
will be opened specially for this ICCS outing – a great opportunity for us to see this interesting and
beautiful place. Afterwards, members might like to explore some of the other attractions of St. Anne's, especially
the Rose Garden.
We will meet in the Red Stables Car Park at 11 a.m. We will be able to get lunch in the Tír na nÓg Café
which serves a very good variety of food, from a snack to a full meal.
If you would like to come on this outing, and we hope you will, it would be helpful
if you would inform
the Hon. Sec. Nora McDowell , phone 01 4971505,
or Email
More information, directions on how to get there, and a map link, can be found at
or by entering the four words Dublin City St Anne's
into a search engine.
