BA in Irish Folklore
The study of Irish Folklore is of particular relevance to anyone interested in popular culture, tradition and society, and in the way in which collective tradition is shaped and developed. For this reason, the study of Irish Folklore acts as an ideal springboard for a career in heritage-related activities, in the media, in teaching and in areas related to Irish studies and ethnic studies in general. Students might also pursue MLitt and PhD graduate studies in UCD in one of the many areas of Irish Folklore and popular tradition, ranging from oral history and literature to material culture and ethnology.
