During a recent visit to UCD, to learn more about the University’s ongoing research and innovation activities, Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science delivered an address entitled, Forging Better Links between Universities and Industry.

Wattics, a UCD energy management spin-out company based at NovaUCD, has been named the Best Emerging Company in Ireland at the final of the InterTradeIreland 2012 all-island Seedcorn business competition.

Seán Sherlock TD, Minister for Research and Innovation has presented University College Dublin’s Professor Dolores O’Riordan with the Enterprise Ireland 2012 Lifescience Commercialisation Award.
