Patrick Kennedy, CEO, Paddy Power

Patrick Kennedy graduated from University College Dublin with a BComm and a DipPrAcc.

Patrick is Chief Executive of Paddy Power plc. Paddy Power is a global betting and gaming group which is headquartered in Ireland and has approximately 3,000 employees and 300 plus shops worldwide. Approximately 75% of Paddy Power's profits are generated online and some 66% of profits are generated from outside Ireland.

Paddy Power is a publicly quoted company, with a market capitalisation of over €2.5 billion, and is listed on both the Irish and London Stock Exchanges.

Patrick joined Paddy Power in an executive capacity in September 2005 and became Chief Executive in 2006. Patrick was already a Board member, having been appointed as a non-executive director in 2004.

He was previously Chief Financial Officer of Greencore Group plc, and prior to that was Group Development Director, with responsibility for group development and M&A.

Before joining Greencore, Patrick worked with KPMG Corporate Finance in Ireland and in the Netherlands and as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company Management Consultants in the UK, Ireland, Belgium and the Netherlands.

He is also a non-executive director of Elan Corporation plc and Bank of Ireland Group.
