NovaUCD client forum: EU funding opportunities
This NovaUCD Client Forum will take place as follows:

Details: Ciarán Duffy, Senior Scientific Officer and National Contact Point for a number of EU funding programmes at Enterprise Ireland will deliver a seminar on European Funding with particular focus Horizon 2020.
Brian Kelly of Pioneer Scientific Consulting and former CEO of Celtic Catalysts will give an overview of applying for EU IAPP grants presenting 4 case studies.
Ciarán will focus on:
- The three pillars to be contained within H2020 – Excellence Science, Industrial Leadership and Societal Challenges
- Providing a breakdown of the subheadings within each of the pillars to give a comprehensive overview of each along with the timing for when H2020 will be open for application
- Providing an update on the rules for participation along with amendments to the funding/financial arrangements as well as IP issues with EU funding
- Detailing the simplification and the Commission’s proposals to move towards a reduced time to grant.
Areas such as how to market yourself and keeping up to date regarding opportunities as we move into H2020 will be covered in detail.
Brian Kelly of Pioneer Scientific Consulting and former CEO of Celtic Catalysts will give an overview of applying for EU IAPP grants and how they can be used strategically in an environment in which other sources of funding may be difficult to source or may have punitive terms attached. He will also give 4 case studies detailing personal experiences.
There will be time for an extensive Q&A with both Ciarán and Brian.
Audience: This event is open to companies that wish to get involved in EU funding projects.
