In almost every sport, body composition plays a major role in determining performance and susceptibility to injury.
We measure height, weight and body composition using the latest technological advances in the field to allow comparison with sport-specific norms. A state-of-the-art iDXA scanner (pictured, top right) is used to measure body composition (body fat and muscle mass), to an accuracy of 0.5%. Body fat levels and muscle mass are also given for each body segment (e.g. trunk, right arm, left versus right leg, etc.). All participants receive a written explanation of test results.
Bod pod
Price: €65 - Duration: 30 min. (approximately)
A Bod Pod is also available to measure body composition (pictured, bottom right). This allows precise measurements of body fat proportions alone, where the level of accuracy required is slightly less than that offered by the iDXA scan. Height, weight and body composition are measured to allow comparison with sport-specific norms. All participants receive a written explanation of test results.
