International Student of the Year Award 2012/2013

The UCD International Student of the Year Award seeks to recognise current students and celebrate the outstanding contribution these individuals make to internationalisation at UCD.  An Award will be made to a UCD student who, in the opinion of the Panel, represents the spirit of internationalisation at UCD.

Award Criteria

In selecting the recipient of the UCD International Student of the Year award, only the student’s achievements and contributions during their time as a UCD student will be taken into consideration.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed on the basis of the criteria outlined below:

• Evidence that the candidate is a global citizen and that they have inspired others to appreciate the concept of internationalisation and global citizenship
• Evidence that the candidate has made exemplary contributions to further international understanding in UCD. This could consist of academic research, interactions with fellow students and/or staff, extra-curricular activities (e.g. Sports & Societies), and/or community involvement abroad or in Ireland

Awards

The recipient will be presented with an Ipad Mini and Presentation Certificate. The successful candidate will be required to attend an Awards Ceremony on Friday 1^st March.
