Going on Erasmus/Non-EU Exchange

UCD offers a range of exciting opportunities to study abroad as part of your degree programme.  You may spend either a semester or a year abroad depending on your course of study.  Participating in an exchange programme is an excellent way to gain a new perspective on your academic subjects and enhance your employment prospects.  On a personal level you will experience living in a different culture, make friends with students from different countries and increase your independence and self-confidence.

The Erasmus exchange programme is an EU-wide mobility programme which has so far seen more than one million European students participate in exchanges.  In UCD, we have an extensive Erasmus exchange programme, involving agreements with over 200 partner institutions in 24 countries.

It is also possible for students to go on a non-EU exchange to universities in to Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore or the USA.  UCD is a member of the Universitas 21 consortium, an active network of internationally competitive universities.  You can study in one of our Universitas 21 partners such as University of Virginia, University of British Columbia, University of Auckland and University of Melbourne.
