| Rosslare Fishing Boats, part2: Fowling boats | |
| Description: A short film illustrating traditional fishing and fowling techniques of The Burrow, Rosslare, Co. Wexford. The generic boat type of the district is flat-bottomed and known generally as a ‘cot’, but which varies greatly in size and function. Once-prosperous herring and bass fisheries collapsed in the southeast little more than a generation ago. Fowling is an ancient activity in Wexford harbour but is now closely managed. | |
