The Irish Social Science Data Archive (ISSDA) is Ireland’s leading centre for quantitative data acquisition, preservation, and dissemination. Based at UCD Library, its mission is to ensure wide access to quantitative datasets in the social sciences, and to advance the promotion of international comparative studies of the Irish economy and Irish society.

IQDA

The Irish Qualitative Data Archive (IQDA), based at NUI Maynooth, is a valuable complement to ISSDA's services and a central access point for qualitative social science data including interviews, pictures and other non-numerical material. It provides online access to all new qualitative data generated within the Irish Social Sciences Platform, and to selected existing data.

Accessing Data

3 Simple Steps to Gain Access to Data

  1. Identify the dataset(s) you require.
  2. Complete the relevant consent form. These are found on this website. (The forms are requested by the data providers.)
  3. Send the signed consent form by email or to: ISSDA, UCD Library, UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4.
