The Irish Social Science Data Archive (ISSDA) is Ireland’s leading centre for quantitative data acquisition, preservation, and dissemination. Based at the UCD Geary Institute, its mission is to ensure wide access to quantitative datasets in the social sciences, and to advance the promotion of international comparative studies of the Irish economy and Irish society.

IQDA

The Irish Qualitative Data Archive (IQDA), based at NUI Maynooth, is a central access point for qualitative social science data - interviews, pictures and other non-numerical material - providing online access to all new qualitative data generated within the Irish Social Sciences Platform, and to selected existing data.  This valuable complement to ISSDA's services is available at www.iqda.ie.

Accessing Data

3 Simple Steps to Gain Access to Data

  1. Identify the dataset(s) you require.
  2. Print and complete the relevant consent form. (The forms are requested by the data providers.) All forms can be located on this website.
  3. Post the signed consent form to the data archive at: ISSDA, B105 Geary Institute, UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4.  Please ensure that your data request is submitted in sufficient time to meet your deadlines.
