DATA WORKSHOP: Finding & Reusing Research Data

The Children’s Research Network for Ireland and Northern Ireland (CRNINI) and the Irish Social Science Data Archive (ISSDA) are co-hosting a workshop on accessing and reusing data from ISSDA.

Participants will have the opportunity to work with data from the newly-archived collection Preparing for Life using SPSS (prior knowledge of SPSS is not necessary to attend this workshop).

This one-day workshop will provide information on:

  • Finding and accessing data from ISSDA
  • Finding the right data for your research
  • Key issues in reusing data
  • New collections at ISSDA from the Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Research Initiative
  • New research grants from Children’s Research Network for research with PEI data in ISSDA

Who should attend

This event will be of particular interest to researchers and students in the Social Science and Health disciplines. The event will also be of interest to those working in the voluntary, state and semi-state sectors with an interest in prevention and early intervention services for children and young people.

Fee*

Members of the Children’s Research Network: €35

Students/ Unwaged/ Part-time employed non-members: €40

All other non-members: €55

* Fee includes lunch, access to UCD Health Science Library and SPSS for the day of the workshop
