User device trials - Try new technology before purchasing it!
UCD IT Services is performing a continuous review of emerging mobile products and suitability for use in education. The purpose of this scheme is to provide staff with the loan of some non standard devices that may assist them in their role as educators and support providers. This is a good opportunity to try devices out before purchase.
How can I borrow one?
1 Decide on the device you would like to try. Devices available for loan are:

This Lenovo Andriod tablet is a perfect companion for browsing the web, checking emails and access to the Marketplace app store. |

This laptop is a fast and convienient way to access the web. They are designed for web access only so boot directly to a web browser so you can get started straightaway. |

Only current UCD staff can avail of this scheme (this does not include hourly paid staff or students).
Devices will be loaned out for 2 weeks on a first come first served basis and will need to be collected and returned from the Computer Centre building on Belfield campus (deliveries to offices are not possible).
3 You are advised to erase your data and reset the device before returning it to us. For instructions on how to do this click here
4 At the end of the trial you will be asked to participate in a short survey to provide us with your feedback.
