Strategic Developments
We aim to maintain our quality of service and to deliver an IT environment which will support UCD in its collaboration and expansion initiatives. We have seen a strong growth in mobile devices used by staff and students including smart phones, netbooks, laptops etc. In 2011 a number of projects will address this demand for mobile access to content.
Network infrastructure is integral to the success of mobile and cloud services. A three year programme will be initiated to maintain the capacity of our campus infrastructure and ensure the continued quality of service for students and staff. Building on our existing platform we will upgrade and enhance systems and services, developing new services and improving processes.
Our work programme contains the priority developments for 2011:
Enhancing the User Experience and Access to Information
