Phishing E-Mail Advisory.

Some new Phishing mails have been sent to some UCD in boxes as below:

  • Purporting to be from UCD, claiming that we are upgrading our database.
  • Purporting to be from UCD, claiming that your mailbox has exceeded it's allocated storage limit.

IT Services strongly advise all users NEVER to send account details by email. UCD IT Services never asks users for their login details via email.

If you receive this phishing e-mail, please delete it.

If you have replied to it, and submitted details, please contact IT Services on 716 2700, or drop into one of our IT Centres.


Here is the content of the UCD database upgrade e-mail:

Web-mail center advice all email account users to please respond to this mail.

We are currently upgrading our data base and e-mail account center.
We are deleting accounts that are not currently in use to create more space for new accounts. To prevent your account not to be truncated, we advise you click or copy the link below and kindly fill out the information required;
