How to configure Mac OS X Email (Staff)

Tip: Take note of your current settings before making any changes.

To configure Mac OS X email settings follow the steps below:


Step 1

Click on Mail and select Preferences 

Click on accounts icon

Step 2

Select Imap from the drop down menu

Step 3

Click on the advanced tab.Tick the check box for Use SSL.Ensure that the port is set to 993 

Step 4

Enter your UCD Connect Username and password

Incoming Mail Server:

imap.ucd.ie

Select the Account Information tab.Click on Server Settings

Step 5

Select Add Server in the Outgoing Mail Server box

smtp.ucd.ie

Tick the checkbox to Use SSL, port 587. Click OK.
