How to access your personal file storage

There are two ways to access your personal file storage


Student
1. Access via UCD Connect
Step A

Login to UCD Connect. Find out how to login to UCD Connect.

Step B

Select Connect Files from thetop right hand row of Connect options.

This will open your UCD Connect Files in a new browser window.

Find out how to open, close and save files in your H drive via UCD Connect.

2. Access via the UCD network

This procedure is for IT Services Open Access Labs.

Step A

Login to the UCD network (via the ‘Active Directory’ login). Find out how to login to the network.

Step B

Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.

A new window will open.

Step C

Your H: drive will be listed as one of your directories.

You can now your Connect Files (H: drive) in the same way as any other directory on your computer.

Staff
1. Access via UCD Connect
Step A

Login to UCD Connect. Find out how to login to UCD Connect.

Step B

In the My Files channel, click on the H: link.

This will open your home directory.

Find out how to open, close and save files in your H drive via UCD Connect.

2. Access via the UCD (‘Novell’) network

This procedure only works for computers that use Microsoft Windows operating system.

Step A

Login to the UCD network (via the ‘Novell’ login). Find out how to login to the network.

Step B

Double-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.

A new window will open.

Step C

Your H: drive will be listed as one of your directories.

You can now your H: drive in the same way as any other directory on your computer.
