Using 'Password Safe'

A 'Password Manager' is a tool that allows you to securely store and use different passwords for all the applications or websites that you use. This means you do not have to remember each password and username combination.

UCD uses ‘Password Safe’ password manager. Password Safe is an open source (free) tool.

Step 1

Click here to download the software.

Step 2

When the File Download window appears select Run. Should Internet Explorer provide an internet security box select Run again.

Step 3

When happy with the license agreement click I Agree. Check the destination folder is correct and select Install.

Step 4

Once installed click Close.
