Accessing your UCD calendar on other mobile devices

For mobile devices other than iPhones, iPads or Blackberrys we recommend consulting the manufacturer's documentation or online help for advice on adding a calendar account to the device. Steps to do so will vary from one device to another. The information below outlines the information that will be required by the calendar application. We are unable to guarantee that your calendar will be accessible on all devices.

Before adding your UCD Calendar to your device you must set a password in Google calendar. To do this: Click on your email address at the top-right and click the Account link. On the Accounts page click the Security link. This does not change your UCD Connect credentials.

If your device supports CalDAV the information required will be:

Server: www.google.com

Username: Your UCD email address

Password: The password you set in the steps above

Users of Android phones can access their calendar by sharing it with their Gmail address. NOTE: Primary calendar in UCD will only display free/busy time outside of the UCD domain. Secondary calendars can be fully shared.

They account type should be IMAP.

The Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server settings as shown below. Your User Name and Password are those you use to log into UCD Connect.

Incoming Mail Server: imap.ucd.ie

Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.ucd.ie

SSL should be on and the Server Port should be 993

For the outgoing mail server, confirm SSL is on and server port is 587
