Access UCD Email on your iPhone or iPod Touch (Staff)
These instructions are generic information and you will need to reference your device user guide for more information
On the Home Screen, Select Settings
Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Step 3Choose Add Account…
Choose Other from the list of account types
Choose Add Mail Account
Enter your name, UCD email address, password and a description for the email account. Press Save.
Choose IMAP. Fill in the Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server settings as shown below. Your User Name and Password are those you use to log into UCD Connect. Then choose Save.
Incoming Mail Server: imap.ucd.ie
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.ucd.ie
Select the account from the list and choose the Advanced option.
Turn Use SSL to ON. Confirm that the Server Port is set to 993
Select SMTP and select smtp.ucd.ie
Under Outgoing mail server
Confirm SSL is on and server port is 587
Return to the Home screen and open Mail to see if the email account has been set up correctly.
