Wireless in UCD

The wireless local area network at UCD allows you to connect to the web over ultra fast connections without the need to plug in.

Follow these step by step instructions to get connected.

Where is wireless available?

Throughout the campus.

Who can use wireless?

The wireless service is available to everyone in UCD.

Note: If you connect using a laptop, you must have the correct Anti-virus and software updates installed.

You must also read and accept the terms and conditios set out in the University's EICT Policy and Procedures document.

What can I access over the wireless network?

You can access the web, web email and most internet services.

You can also access files stored on your network account through your UCD Connect account.

Wireless Cards

Most laptops are now provided with wireless cards built in. If not cards may be purchased from any computer accessories supplier and installed using the accompanying software.

Note: The wireless network does not require machine registration.
