UCD InfoView
What is UCD InfoView?
UCD InfoView is the web based tool used to enable secure self-service reporting on all major student, financial, HR and research systems. It uses Business Objects XI technology, and is available from UCD Connect via single sign-on.
Relevant reports are available to all management, administrative and academic staff. The MIS team in Management Services is responsible for delivering and managing all official suites of reports, while operational and ad hoc reporting is handled by report writers in local administrative areas.
Current UCD InfoView projects underway are:
- Development of a data warehouse to enable faster operational reporting and improved strategic reporting across systems
- Delivery of self-service financial reporting for Principal Investigators and Financial Managers in Schools and Colleges
- Introduction of XI Dashboards for delivery of information on key areas

Access and Support
Access to the system can be obtained by filling in a System Access Form and posting it to Business Support, Tierney Building.
General Support is provided via on-line documentation or from the Business Support Team business.support@ucd.ie on ext. 1222.
Report writers can access advanced support by attending regular BORG (Business Objects Reporter Group) meetings and by subscribing to the BORG Group on UCD Connect.
Universe changes can be requested by completing the Universe Maintenance Form and forward to Business Support, Tierney Building.
