Online Purchasing now accessible Off-Campus and on Wireless

UCD’s online purchasing system is now accessible to academic and administrative staff both on and off campus, using the fixed or wireless network.

The purchasing system comprises the eProcurement application integrated with an Approved Supplier Catalogue which gives people accurate and up to date product information and the opportunity to review and compare prices prior to purchasing.

The initial rollout provided UCD staff access to the online purchasing service on campus on the fixed network. IT Services, working with Finance, recently extended the security environment thereby providing staff with access to the system from off-campus locations. This service is now also supported on the UCD wireless network.
