Frequently Asked Questions - UCD InfoHub

What is UCD InfoHub?

InfoHub is a new technology that delivers fast access to information in UCD’s business systems. It provides high-level summaries and graphs and enables quick and easy drilling to detailed information. It is particularly useful for delivering management information, allowing business users to easily view and analyse trends.

How do I access InfoHub?

Access is through the Applications Channel under the Administrative Services tab on UCD Connect – no need to remember a separate password with single sign-on.

Drilling in InfoHub?

Any item that appears in blue is a clickable link to a lower level of detail. After you have drilled to the lower level, you can quickly and easily drill back up using the PREVIOUS PAGE button on the top right hand side of the screen.

How do I print from InfoHub?

You can print any report page in InfoHub using the PRINT button that appears on the top right hand side of the screen. Alternatively, you can generate and save a PDF file of any report by clicking on PDF button.

Can I download to Excel?

Each information block has CSV button at the bottom which allows you to easily save the data into Excel format.

How do I get help?

If you need help with accessing or using InfoHub, please contact infohub@ucd.ie. Each InfoHub report provides a contact email address at the bottom to be used for queries relating to the information displayed.

What’s happened to UCD InfoView?

UCD InfoView is still in use for reporting in the University – by users who need to do their own analysis of data and produce their own reports.

For most management information requirements, we will aim over time to deliver all information via InfoHub.
