Project Planning: We worked with Dr. Allys Guerandel and her colleagues in Psychiatry in the UCD School of Medicine and Medical Science to develop a series of etutorials on psychiatric medicine. Topics include Reflection and Reflective Writing, Taking Psychiatric Case Histories, Substance Use and Misuse, Affective Disorders, Psychopharmacology, Electroconvulsive Therapy and Delirium. Project Planning: We worked with Dr. Andrew Wilkinson, School of Medicine and Medical Science, to produce the "Impairment Testing. Video Teaching Aides" DVD. Media Services directed and recorded videos of demonstration of impairment tests being implemented by a member of An Garda Síochána. The DVD is a teaching aide for new Garda Recruits. Our Television Studio facilitates the broadcast of live lectures in real time via digital satellite from UCD to students across Ireland and internationally. We worked with Dr. Maria Meehan to create a series of web based videos for the Undergraduate Ambassadors Scheme (UAS). This module offers Stage 3 or Stage 4 undergraduates who have taken an appropriate level of undergraduate mathematics, the chance to work with mathematics teachers and students in local secondary schools.
