New Sophos Anti-Virus Software – Update now
In November Sophos will be making changes to the way that we receive anti-virus updates. As a result Sophos Anti-Virus users are encouraged to manually reinstall the new Sophos Anti-Virus software from UCD Connect which will ensure desktops and laptops continue to be protected against new risks.
A key benefit of this updated software is that manual reinstalls of Sophos software will no longer be required to further protect your computer once this software has been installed. Having RMS installed on your PC allows updated versions of the Sophos software to be distributed automatically, in addition to virus definition files.
All users should reinstall Sophos by Friday 14th November
Follow these steps to reinstall Sophos on your PC:
- Log into UCD Connect
- Click on the IT Services tab
- Click on the Windows button in the Sophos channel. Mac users can reinstall Sophos by clicking on the Mac OS X button in the same channel.
