Ricoh Printing Survey Results
UCD IT Services and Ricoh Ltd recently conducted an online survey to find out about UCD students' satisfaction with the student printing system as well as IT Support services in general.
2,446 students completed the survey and from those, one winner of €50 printing credit was chosen randomly. The winner is Marie Keyes (BSocSc).
The results of the survey were very positive overall. Here are a couple of highlights:
- 69% of survey respondents consider print quality and ease of use of the printing system to be very good or excellent.
- 65% of respondents rated IT staff in the Centres and on the Helpdesk as either very good or excellent on the points of knowledge, helpfulness and professionalism.
- 57% of survey respondents have been using the ‘follow-me’ printing system which gives users two hours to release their print job from any printer on campus.
- ‘General advice’ was considered to be the most useful service available via the IT Centres according to 54% of respondents, followed by ‘Laptop benches’ (41%)
- 34% of respondents were aware of the recently introduced ePayments service, which allows users to top up their printing credit from anywhere using laser, credit cards, mobile phones and 3V.
Thank you to all who responded. This feedback will help us to continue to improve the services we provide.
