UCD IT Services, Media Services recently completed a series of media-rich elearning lectures for Professor Mike Gibney, UCD Institute of Food and Health. The UCD Institute of Food and Health is a major campus-wide initiative at University College Dublin aimed at developing and conducting world class, multidisciplinary research into food and health.
These elearning lectures are designed to disseminate research findings both to researchers and the general public in a way that is clear, concise and timely, so as to raise awareness of critical issues in relation to food and health and contribute to the improvement of the general health and well being of the population.
"We, at the Institute, are delighted with the videocasts produced on our behalf by Media Services" said Prof. Mike Gibney. "We are working together to develop several other initiatives, which will appear on our website in the coming months."

The lectures were recorded in Media Services purpose built television studio. Camera-ready PowerPoint slides were developed in advance of the recording. A customised multimedia template was designed and developed and captured audio and video were compressed and imported into this template. The completed digital media content was then uploaded into the Institutes website. http://www.ucd.ie/foodandhealth/videolectures/
