ICHEC run Scienti?c Programming Concepts course

The ”Scienti?c Programming Concepts” course o?ered by ICHEC (Irish Centre for High End Computing) in association with UCD ResearchIT was recently completed by a number of UCD students from schools such as Earth Sciences, Biology & Environmental Science and Mathematics. The course covered a number of topics such as; Introduction to Computer Algorithms, Fundamentals of Object-oriented Programming and HPC Architecture Fundamentals.
IT Services in collaboration with ICHEC will o?er another course in June entitled ”Introduction to High Performance Computing.” Both courses are o?ered as 5 ECTS credit modules and are available for certain postgraduate programmes within the college. Credit enquiries should in the ?rst instance be addressed to the School of Mathematics and Statistics. The courses are available at no charge and can be booked through the InfoHub system.
