Q5 What are the limitations of Mobile Learn?

Mobile Learn is primarily designed for viewing content, not for uploading new content to Blackboard. Depending on the particular device, some features will not work correctly, but you can always access these features using a browser such as Firefox or Internet Explorer on your computer.  Students should not attempt to take tests, quizzes or surveys, submit assignments or participate in Chat via the Blackboard app; instead, they should use a non-mobile Web browser for these purposes. Staff should not attempt to upload new course content, build tests, quizzes or surveys, grade assignments or adjust Grade Center options in Blackboard Instructor; instead, they should use a non-mobile Web browser for these purposes. Some features that may not work correctly on all devices are:

  • Flash video
  • Java-based video
  • Quicktime video
