Access and Support
HPC Clusters @ UCD
Format: One to One / Small Group Teaching
Contents: One to one training and familiarisation on our High Performance Compute Cluster is available to users after they have registered to use the service. This is basic training which is intended to enable users unfamiliar with our build of compute cluster to get up and running on the system.
This type of session can also deal with the use of specific software packages or programmes.

ICHEC @ UCD
Format: Small Group Teaching
Contents: The Irish Centre for High End Computing (ICHEC) offer a range of courses on High Performace Computing from beginner to more advanced levels. These include "Introduction to HPC", MPI and Open MPI courses. Further details are available here.
Schedule: These course are run in various locations around the country and the full scedule is available from ICHEC. Notification of the course scheduled will be posted on our website
IT Security @ UCD
Format: Small Group Teaching
Contents: This course covers a range of topics in the area of IT Security. The course is presented by our IT Security Officer. A more detailed description of the course is available here .
Schedule: This couse is scheduled to run a minimum of once per term. Notification of the course scheduled will be posted on our website.
Research IT Facilities - Data Centre Familiarisation
Format: One to One
Contents: Research IT Services offer an equipment hosting service to researchers within the University. Researchers who require access to the facility should organise to have a familiarisation session with our Data Centre Officer.
Schedule: This is a familiarisation session and can be organised at any time by e-mailing researchit@ucd.ie
Research IT Facilities - Collaboration Space Familiarisation
Format: One to One, Small Group
Contents: These sessions are designed to complement use of the Collaboration Space, G4 Daedalus Building. The sessions will familiarise customers with the use of all technology they require within the Collaboration Space. These sessions are run in conjunction with Customer Services.
Schedule: This is a familiarisation session and can be organised at any time by e-mailing researchit@ucd.ie or helpdesk@ucd.ie
