Preliminary Programme

Updated 27 February, 1997 -  These pages will move to a new DCU location shortly.......

Plenary Sessions:
Plenary sessions begin with an overview presentation lasting approximately 40 minutes, and this overview is followed by two presentations outlining practical Irish university experiences in the area.

Parallel Sessions:
Parallel sessions have up to three separate discussion groups, in separate rooms.  Each group will have a volunteer chairman who will prepare and publish an agenda well in advance of the meeting.

Technical Workshops:
Technical Workshops are half day sessions which provide an opportunity for in-depth sharing of technical information about areas of mutual interest to the various groups of participants.  The objective is to maximise the effectiveness of the limited resources available in each institution. Each Technical Workshop will have a volunteer chairman who will be responsible for consulting widely before the event, drawing up the agenda, and chairing the workshop.  A volunteer meeting secretary will take and publish a record of the workshop.
