Dr Michael Kennedy is the Executive Editor of the Royal Irish Academy’s Documents on Irish Foreign Policy series. He is the author of a wide range of books on twentieth century Irish political, diplomatic and military history including Division and Consensus: the politics of cross-border relations in Ireland 1925-69 (Dublin, 2000) and Guarding Neutral Ireland: The Coast Watching Service and Military Intelligence, 1939-45 (Dublin, 2008). He is a member of the Irish Manuscripts Commission and the Royal Irish Academy's Committee for International Affairs and an adjunct Associate Professor of History at University College Dublin.
