UCD lawyers and public life: 100 years of activism and influence

This conference will celebrate and consider the impact of UCD law faculty on public life in Ireland. Speakers will examine the influence which UCD professors, students and alumni have had on Irish society - from the revolutionary years prior to the 1922 Constitution, through the drafting of the 1937 Constitution and rights jurisprudence of the 1960's, up to the activism and political debates of the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's. The conference will be followed by a social event which will provide an opportunity for alumni to share their own memories and experiences of studying law at UCD

Lunch will not be provided.
A social event after the conference will be arranged if sufficient interest is expressed by participants. Please mention when registering what, if any, type of event (dinner, drinks reception etc) you would be interested in attending. Those attending will be notified as soon as practicable of what if any social arrangements have been made.
