Advance in your career with a specialisation in one of law’s leading practitioner fields An LLM in Commercial Law is a valuable specialisation in one of the leading practitioner fields of law. It will give you a head start in a your legal career or provide an invaluable background to a career in business.

This well established programme offers a range of specialist courses in the Commercial Law field enabling students to tailor their degree to suit their particular interests. It benefits from the range of expertise available within the School in this field (including many members of staff who have practical experience advising in commercial law matters) as well as the association of the Law School with the UCD Commercial Law Centre.

CIEL

Any student admitted to an LLM programme in the Law School also can apply on a competitive basis to spend their second semester at one of our sister Law Schools:

  • University of Antwerp
  • Maastricht University
  • The University of Mannhein
  • Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona
  • Universite de Toulouse 1 – Capitole

Students must score 6.5 in IELTS or 90 in the internet TOEFL exams in the relevant language of instruction (English, French or German). Spaces are allocated on a competitive basis. Students who are accepted onto this programme graduate with an LLM and are awarded a certificate in International and Comparative Law (CIEL).
